“The small island nations of the Pacific live with geographic and economic isolation. Despite this, there are very interesting cross-cultural influences that inform public and private spaces. These influences are traditional to the islands, colonial, post-colonial, Asian, and hybrids of all of the above. At the core of Plastic Flowers is my curiosity about these influences, and the muddle of success and failures that are the reality”.
