"A common thread running through this new body of work is the various and sometimes odd activities that humans engage in as part of their movement through life - different employment, gardening, holidays, floral arranging, viewing art, making art etc.
There is a nursing term ADLS (activities of daily living) used to assess people's ability to function in the world. Returning to part-time employment in the nursing profession this year, there was a significant change in my routine - forcing an assement of my own 'activities of daily living'.
Various sources continue to inform the work: wallpaper design, chinese decorative screens, retro floral arranging and gardeningbooks, tapestry, and early photography. The elements /images are somewhat fragmented and collage-like. The found Op Shop works allowed for further play within this methodology. A transformation strives to take place."
