When's it all going to stop?

Chris Clements
Rob Cherry
Anna-Marie OBrien

Wednesday 15 November - 09 December

Rob Cherry is interested in images and how we react to them emotionally. These new works are a continuation of his return to figuration after 6 years of abstraction and modernism and highlight the tender and the comic.
Anna-Marie O’Brien has developed a series of paintings positioning the guinea pig as the ubiquitous animal - the ‘everyman’ we all have a story about. Titled after jazz standards, these guinea pigs are wistful and melancholic.
Using painted cardboard relief structures Chris Clements' new work throws you into a paradoxical world where buildings become weightless, ethereal objects floating outside of history while self-help and ecology books are rendered as shells emptied of ideas. Beneath this strange twisting of associations emerges an otherly presence - the leviathan of the unknown.
