Random Dictates casts the net wide in an attempt to decode the current paradigm - a paradigm increasingly overloaded with an entangled network of data and ideas.

Extricated from this network are distilled forms such as Bin on a stick - a lightwork made of concrete, a stick and a plastic container that subverts its own resolution. Only in 20 years when it is time to change the light bulb, will its detailling be revealed.

Working in an industry with access to high-tech materials and processes, Andy gleans only what is needed, what is relevant. There is a reluctance to show off geek-gadgetry and flashy processes. Concrete and plywood stand up to the junk that confuses perpectives of sustainability, architectural-design and modern efficiencies... Canvas and flurorescent spraypaint collapse themes of connectivity and challenge lazy comforts.

Random Dictates is a haphazard structure, a planned incoherent grouping of thematics and forms organised with anarchic clarity. It is the contradiction of living in a wasteland of plenty.
